As part of the Club’s strategic initiative to expand its ladies’ golf coaching programs and increase female participation in the game, Doha Golf Club is seeking an enthusiastic, qualified, and experienced Female PGA Golf Teaching Professional to join its Golf Academy.

This appointment reflects the growing demand for dedicated ladies’ coaching programs and aligns with the cultural preferences and community needs of many of our members and guests who prefer female-led instruction. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating an inclusive, welcoming, and supportive environment for women and girls of all ages and abilities to learn, enjoy, and progress in the game of golf.

The successful applicant will also gain valuable experience by assisting the Qatar Golf Association (QGA) with activities related to the annual Qatar Masters, one of the region’s most prestigious professional golf events.

Primary Purpose

The Female PGA Golf Teaching Professional will organize, coordinate, promote, and deliver a comprehensive golf instruction program designed to meet the needs and interests of Doha Golf Club members and guests.

A key focus of the role will be the development and growth of ladies’ golf participation through beginner programs, ladies’ clinics, junior girls’ initiatives, private coaching, and special events. The successful candidate will contribute to the overall success of the Golf Academy by delivering exceptional coaching experiences while supporting member engagement and long-term player development.


Key Responsibilities

1. Instruction & Coaching

* Deliver individual and group golf lessons to golfers of all ages and abilities.
* Develop personalized coaching plans focusing on swing mechanics, putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play, and course management.
* Utilize video analysis, launch monitor technology, and modern teaching tools to enhance student learning and performance.
* Conduct beginner, intermediate, and advanced coaching programs.
* Provide specialized coaching programs for women, junior girls, and beginner golfers.



2. Ladies’ Golf Development

* Lead the growth and development of the Club’s ladies’ golf coaching program.
* Design and implement ladies’ clinics, beginner programs, social golf initiatives, and player development pathways.
* Encourage increased participation and retention of female golfers within the Club.
* Organize women’s golf events, coaching workshops, and engagement activities.
* Support the creation of a welcoming and inclusive environment for women and girls interested in golf.

3. Program Development

* Design and implement instructional programs, clinics, and workshops for golfers of varying skill levels.
* Organize and lead junior golf development programs.
* Develop junior girls’ coaching pathways and participation programs.
* Plan and conduct golf camps, corporate clinics, school outreach programs, and special academy events.
* Assist in identifying opportunities to grow academy participation and revenue.

4. Customer Service & Member Engagement

* Provide exceptional customer service to members and guests of Doha Golf Club.
* Offer professional guidance on equipment selection, golf rules, etiquette, and player development.
* Conduct club fitting sessions when required.
* Manage lesson scheduling and maintain effective communication with students.
* Build strong relationships with members and academy participants to enhance their overall club experience.

5. Equipment & Facility Management

* Maintain academy teaching equipment, including launch monitors, video analysis systems, and training aids.
* Ensure practice facilities, including the driving range and short-game areas, are maintained and prepared for daily operations.
* Assist with the upkeep of academy facilities and coordinate with course maintenance staff as required.
* Recommend equipment upgrades and teaching aids when appropriate.

6. Professional Development

* Remain current with modern coaching methodologies, technologies, and industry trends.
* Participate in professional development opportunities, workshops, seminars, and certification programs.
* Maintain active PGA membership and professional standing.
* Continuously seek opportunities to improve coaching effectiveness and student outcomes.

7. Sales & Promotion

* Promote academy programs and services to attract new students and retain existing participants.
* Support the sale of golf equipment, apparel, and accessories through professional recommendations and fitting services.
* Collaborate with the Club’s marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and academy communications.
* Assist in promoting ladies’, junior, and beginner golf initiatives through club events and community engagement.

8. Administration

* Maintain accurate lesson records, player development reports, and academy databases.
* Track lesson attendance, participation rates, revenue, and program performance metrics.
* Prepare reports as required by Club management.
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and planning for academy activities and instructional programs.

9. Team Collaboration

* Work closely with fellow golf professionals and Club staff to ensure smooth and efficient academy operations.
* Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the overall objectives of Doha Golf Club.
* Support and mentor assistant golf professionals and trainees when appropriate.
* Assist with Club tournaments, member events, and special golf activities.
* Support QGA initiatives and assist with activities related to the Qatar Masters and other major golf events.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Qualifications

* Female PGA Professional or equivalent internationally recognized golf teaching qualification.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in golf instruction and player development.
* Proven ability to teach golfers of all ages and skill levels.
* Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Experience using launch monitor technology, video analysis systems, and modern coaching tools.
* Professional appearance and conduct.
* Strong organizational and administrative skills.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience developing and managing ladies’ golf programs.
* Experience coaching junior golfers and junior girls’ programs.
* Club fitting certification and equipment knowledge.
* Experience working at a private golf club, golf academy, or golf resort environment.
* Experience supporting professional tournaments and golf events.
